The Greenwich Hotel NYC

The Greenwich Hotel is one of my all time favourite hotels in the world. It is like a home away from home and JohnJohn loves it too. This is his second stay at The Greenwich Hotel!

The Greenwich Hotel is located in TriBeCa on the corner of Greenwich Street and North Moore Street.

A warn welcome letter by the lovely General Manager Philip Truelove.

JohnJohn's bed where he slept like an angel for twelve hours every night during our stay! The cute teddy bear was a present from the hotel to JohnJohn, which he loved! The Greenwich Hotel has an impressive teddy bear collection by the entrance to the Spa!

One of the many things I love about The Greenwich Hotel is that the minibar (with exception of alcoholic drinks) is free of charge including the huge basket of sweet and snacks that they refill every day. I use quite a lot of bottled water when traveling to prepare JohnJohn´s bottles and most hotels charge quite a lot for bottled water, but not at The Greenwich!

Stylish information book about the hotel and its wonderful Spa and pool downstairs.

Our cozy room facing North Moor Street where JohnJohn´s name brother J.Jr. Kennedy used to live . ( He lived with his wife Carolyn in a loft at 20 North Moore, often flowers are placed outside in their memory)

The hotel gave us a chair we could use in the room for JohnJohn, which was very helpful!

The Greenwich is so far the only hotel we have stayed at that offers an odor free diaper pail in the room! Very appreciated by the parents!

The famous Drawing Room, guest of the hotel only! Very peaceful and relaxing bar and restaurant where we enjoyed most of our breakfast, lunches and dinners.

JohnJohn loved the fireplace in the Drawing Room!

The iPad is only for traveling!  The iPad entertains JohnJohn and gives us a quiet moment to enjoy our breakfast, lunch or dinner without disturbing other guests. It is important to remember how we used to feel about loud children before we became parents ourselves! This is not a hotel for children, it is a hotel for parents with children!

JohnJohn enjoying the Drawing Room....

River Park Playground is a heaven for children and only two minutes walk from The Greenwich Hotel! It is located at the end of North More Street and by the Hudson River.

JohnJohn enjoying breakfast in Locanda Verde, the bustling and very popular restaurant at The Greenwich Hotel.

The Greenwich Hotel is always full of beautifully arranged flowers.

The inner court yard next to the Drawing Room where guests only can relax and enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner or just a drink in the sun.

The Greenwich Hotel is owned by Robert de Niro and his father has painted quite a few of the paintings in the hotel.

During our stay at The Greenwich Hotel Michelle Obama stopped by and so did most of Hollywoods most talked about actors and actresses, so be prepared for paparazzi photographers! JohnJohn loved the attention from the photographers when arriving and leaving The Greenwich Hotel.

The River Park is a great escape on a sunny day! Here sunbathing in March when it was 27C!

Watch out, here I come!

The River Park Playground has bounce back floor, so its safe for children to run around.

JohnJohn enjoying the sand box!

First time in a swing and obviously not the last time!

Next to The Greenwich Hotel on Greenwich Street a new Swedish Coffee bar called KAFFE just opened, and its safe to say it´s one of the best coffee I have ever had in NYC!

JohnJohn enjoyed KAFFE too!

Two minutes walk down Greenwich Street is another fantastic playground, The Washington Market Playground, which JohnJohn enjoyed too.

Only adults in company of a child or children are allowed in here!

Whole Foods is located only five minutes walk from The Greenwich Hotel on Greenwich Street and they have a quite impressive collection of babyfood, baby products, diapers etc etc all organic of course!

Great organic snacks!

I prefer not to travel with a whole package of diapers so its helps to know that I can buy them next door!

In Soho which is a ten minutes walk from The Greenwich Hotel there is a great children's store called Giggle that has a lot of fun products for babies and children.

We love the stroller parking! Most strollers cost a fortune now a days, so it does matter that you can lock it and shop without worrying anyone will steal your stroller!

Balthazar is a favorite lunch place when in Soho. We enjoyed our lunch sitting almost
next to another stylish mom and her child, Katie Holm and her beautiful daughter Suri who JohnJohn of course charmed....

Look Suri, I am here!!!

Relaxing with mom after a hectic day in NYC by the River Park Playground!

Bye Bye NYC, we will be back soon again!

JohnJohn loved the sandbox!
